Destination wedding planners congress came to Rhodes this November to promote our island as a wedding destination. Over 350 planners from around the world came to Rhodes for this 3-day event from the 9th to 11th November to discover and be charmed by what this beautiful island can offer their clients.
Before the actual event, there were plenty of Zoom meetings as well as meetings in person. Finally meeting the amazing organiser Karina and her team in August.

Set up – Behind the scenes
Day 1 of the congress was at Kallithea Spa, one of Rhodes most stunning wedding venues. In the afternoon there were sound and lighting checks with the crew of F.Y.E. (For your entertainment) from Athens. Meeting the other acts and doing some rehearsals with them and their music.
Evening Time
The guests were arriving at 7 pm. As there arrived there were dancers greeting them by the fountain. As the guests reached the stunning rotunda for their welcome drinks we played the acrobats music to the story they were enacting. Waiters served Canapes and Signature cocktails They tasted delicious. After the speeches including one from our Mayor, it was time to mingle, catch up with old friends and of course make new ones.
Once everyone had been reacquainted, It was time for Megan and her jazz band to entertain all the guests with their unique style of jazzed up covers of popular songs, They had everyone dancing including me. It was again over to us to keep the party vibe going until the very last guest.
Overall it was a very successful first day. We met a lot of new people from around the globe within our industry. Despite being nervous being the first event that we’ve done it went so much better than we could anticipate. Plenty of interest in our services including Wedding Ceremony Shows.
We made a lasting impression with our knowledge of Multicultural music to suit all the tastes of each guest attending this year’s Destination Wedding Planners Congress.
